Apple Will Unveil Camera-Focused ‘Pro’ iPhones, New iPads, Larger MacBook Pro This Fall

The new iPhones, iPads, MacBook Pro, and Apple Watch are all expected by the end of 2019, the report said, whereas the revised AirPods and HomePod could come later. Successors to the two XS models will carry a “Pro” label but the biggest omission from the entire iPhone 11 range is 5G.

New report from Bloomberg unfolded yesterday about Apple Inc’s newest hardware that’s about to come in next few months.

There will be plenty of innovations including “Pro” iPhones, upgraded iPads and their biggest laptop. However, don’t expect a 5G this year; Apple plans to release one not till 2020.

In the event next month, this Cupertino-based tech titan will allegedly announce three new iPhones that should be ready for sale in in September, just in time for adding to its fourth-quarter sales.

However, the Christmas and the overall holiday season should show the real state of affair because that’s the time when the company is heaping up combining new hardware, software and services. The company hopes the revenue will be higher or at least, that the huge loss from the last year will not happen again.

As for their biggest product – iPhone, Apple has three new iPhones waiting to be launched. There are “Pro” iPhone models that will replace the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.

The main feature of the Pro iPhones is a new camera system on the back that has a third sensor for capturing ultra-wide-angle photos and videos. The sensors will capture three images simultaneously and use new artificial intelligence software for automatic correction of the combined photo. Pictures will have higher resolution and there is also an upgraded video recording capabilities, almost similar to professional video cameras.

Phones are also equipped with a rear-facing 3-D cameras that will boost augmented reality capabilities.

Another new characteristic is a reverse wireless charging system for powering-up AirPods in the optional wireless-charging case by leaving it on the back of the new Pro phones. Samsung Electronics Co. already made it before for their Galaxy handsets.

Apple has also increased water resistance for the new models that will also have updated OLED screens that lack the pressure-sensitive 3D Touch technology. Apple is replacing this with Haptic Touch, which copies 3D Touch’s functionality with a long press, as it did with the iPhone XR last year.

All phones will have faster A13 processors with a new component in the chip included. So-called “AMX” or “matrix” co-processor, may help with computer vision and augmented reality, which Apple is pushing a core feature of its mobile devices.

However, even though it was talked about it before, none of the new models will include 5G. From the company they said that users will have to wait one more year for that to happen.

We will see also somewhat refreshed versions of the iPad Pro with upgraded cameras and faster chips; an entry-level iPad that has a larger screen, new versions of the Apple Watch, and the long awaited makeover of the MacBook Pro laptop. Sources familiar with the company confirmed that updates to key audio accessories, including AirPods and the HomePod speaker will be presented as well.

MacBook Pro should come with a screen over 16-inches diagonally. It will be slimmer and close to the current 15-inch models in size. This, however, will be Apple’s largest laptop since discontinuation of a 17-inch MacBook Pro back in 2012.

Apple will also launch the previously announced Mac Pro and 32-inch XDR Pro Display later this year as well.

Earlier this year, Apple has shown new mid-tier iPad Air and iPad mini models and now allegedly has plans to refresh the iPad Pro and its low-end iPad for schools.

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros will also get upgraded cameras and faster processors but will not change the way they look. The low-end iPad’s screen will now be 10.2-inches so a model with a 9.7-inch display discontinues.

Apple Watch innovations have been focused on the watchOS 6 software update, and new case finishes. New AirPods will probably be even more expensive than the current $159 model because of the water resistance and noise cancellation.

On the other hand HomePod, should come cheaper because current $300 model was pretty bad sold. The new model will have only two tweeters (a type of loudspeaker), down from seven in the current HomePod.
