Bitfinex/Tether Appeal Against NYAG’s Order on Motion

New York Supreme Court Judge Joel M. Cohen had passed a judgement on 19th Aug that Bitfinex and Tether must provide all documents to the New York Attorney General (NYAG) about an alleged $850 million cover up case within 90 days. Bitfinex has finally taken a stance and appealed against the judgement.

As per the appeal, Attorneys for the companies filed a motion to dismiss the NYAG’s case entirely and claimed that NYAG did not have any jurisdictional authority over the companies thus successfully getting a Stay Order for the investigation until further judgement.
