Chainlink joins UNESCO Global Education Coalition

Chainlink has been the center of attention lately, with the protocol in the news following a host of recent integrations and collaborations. It is in the news again after an official announcement revealed that Chainlink has officially joined UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition. According to the said announcement, the aim of this partnership is to “increase global awareness and understanding of blockchains, smart contracts, and oracle technology.”

As a part of this coalition, Chainlink will make educational resources and development programs openly available and easily accessible to people and institutions around the world.

Aside from this, Chainlink is also reportedly working on making resources such as developer tutorials, hackathons, and access to substantial financial resources available through its Community Grants Program.

As mentioned, the market’s leading blockchain oracle has disclosed multiple integrations over the past week, including ones with DeFi protocols Bifrost and SnowSwap.

Bifrost is a multichain DeFi platform that will integrate Chainlink Price Feeds to price collateral during loan issuance and liquidation processes for ETH/USD, LINK/USD, USDT/USD, and DAI/USD.

“Security has always been at the forefront of the development of Bifrost and BiFi,” the protocol said when explaining the rationale behind its decision to integrate Chainlink’s decentralized price feeds.

Apart from its Price Feeds, Chainlink also enables users to ensure that they are properly accounting for current Ethereum network fees with its Fast Gas Oracle solution. The SnowSwap integration will utilize this feature to allow stakers to deposit and withdraw using the Fast Gas Oracle as a reference when moving between yield generation strategies on the decentralized exchange.

At the time of writing, Chainlink was collectively protecting over $10 billion in value across DeFi protocols, with the same likely to hike even higher as more integrations and organic developments follow.
