Blockchain security firm CertiK has reported that cybercriminals have targeted the crypto space and made away with over $45 million worth of crypto assets in August alone. Since the beginning of the year, the firm believes that a total of $997 million worth of crypto assets have been stolen. With an increasing number of crypto investors seeking safe and secure storage for their digital assets, this trend is putting increased pressure on the industry to implement more rigorous security measures.
