China’s Center for Information and Industry Development [CCID] released its 15th Global Public Blockchain Technology Assessment Index that ranked multiple cryptocurrencies based on its tech, application, and creativity. The list placed Bitcoin on the ninth position while scoring highest in the field of creativity and least in terms of application. Bitcoin’s index total stood at 103.9. Among other major coins, Ethereum took second place with a total index value of 138.
CCID introduced the first-ever crypto ranking list in May 2018, and EOS has managed to top the list ever since June 2018. The platform was marked highly in all aspects and its index totaled at 151.4. Tron [TRX] ranked third as its Index total stood at 137.8, as its lowest index creativity stood at 18.1. Tron was marked at the second spot in the tenth edition and the eleventh edition. However, was absent on the ninth list.
Recently, Tron has marked new milestones as its number of users accounts spiked over 100,000 on 9 December along with a rise in its Dapps to 643. Whereas its Dapps competition Ethereum successfully launched its much-awaited Istanbul hardfork, and EOS has been facing issues due to the rise of transaction fees.
Many different altcoins have managed a place within the top 10 like- NULS, Lisk, Neo, STEEM, and Bitshares. While Stellar Lumens took the tenth place on the list with its index score being 102.5, missing out on the creativity index. The list placed XRP on the eighteenth position and Monero even lower at the 22nd position. Among the major coins, Litecoin was positioned at 32nd place, right after Zcash.
