What is XRP (Ripple)?
XRP is the token of the XRP Ledger – a blockchain-based digital payment network and protocol, regarded as a faster, more energy-efficient alternative to the Bitcoin blockchain. Over mining, Ripple uses a consensus mechanism to confirm transactions.
The Ledger presents a wide variety of applications and use cases related to payments including micropayments, DeFi, and NFTs. Since 2012, it has supported enterprises and Python, Java and JavaScript developers with powerful utility and flexibility.
You can trade XRP_USDT here. On top of the new Spot listing, you can also trade XRP via two perpetual swaps – XRPUSD and XRPUSDT.
What is ATOM (Cosmos)?
ATOM is the native token of the Cosmos Hub – the first blockchain to be established on the Cosmos network – a project intended to solve some of the hardest problems facing the blockchain industry.
It is intended for Cosmos, to offer an ecosystem of connected blockchains, and to be seen as a solution to other proof-of-work protocols considered slow, expensive, environmentally harmful, and unable to scale.
Cosmos Hub was created to serve as a bridge between all the blockchains formed on the Cosmos network, which are known as “zones”. The Cosmos Hub validators are responsible for maintaining consensus across all zones, and earn fees for doing so.
It is ATOM that is used to pay these fees.
