Mining is one of the most important aspects of the cryptocurrency industry since miners guarantee the immutability of a blockchain network by offering their hash power. However, the industry has been faced with challenges in recent years since the massive popularity of Bitcoin and crypto-assets.
The early days of mining witnessed the production of energy-consuming ASIC miners that dominated the markets. Since then miners have been faced with a dilemma on whether to use energy-saving CPU or CPUs that provide raw power.
Recently, Raspberry Pis have become a choice for miners due to the hash rate produced by their chips and low consumption power. One of the most popular in the market is Vim3 board but it costs around 150 Euros making it one of the expensive options in the market.
Telos to offer Affordable Mining CPUs
Telos has decided to move into the mining industry by offering customized Vim3 boards that are geared towards providing miners what they need. These boards are customized solely for mining and other unnecessary additions are removed thus resulting in a drop of price.
Telos has been able to partner with Khadas to offer affordable customized Vim3 boards that cost less than 100 Euros. The strip down boards offer the power of a full minicomputer with neural processing units that is 20 times better than the Raspberry Pi.
At the moment, six editions are available for purchase and include Early Bird, Miner Edition, Miner XBTX Edition, Miner Teloscoin Edition, Miner NHS Edition and Cluster Editions. Productions have begun and will be fully launched by December.
The first four options are basically the same and the difference is in the mode of payment for each Cpu board. To order the Miner XBTX and Miner Teloscoin Edition, you’ll be required to pay using XBTX and Teloscoin respectively while for the Early Bird and Miner Edition, you’ll be able to pay using other currencies like the Euro.
Also, it should be noted that the Early Bird edition comes at a discount as it is for miners that ordered first and is a limited edition. While the Miner Edition costs significantly more and is for those that could not purchase the Early Bird version.
Better still, you can purchase the Telsocoin version as it comes with a 3% discount and you’ll be able to have access to a free collocation option.
For those who don’t know what colocation means, it means that you won’t receive the machine home, but it will instead stay at blueboxing.net offices ran by them, and they will even pay the electricity.
Mine XBTX token and Telostoken and Generate Cool Rewards
You can easily leverage these affordable CPU board to mine XBTX and Telostoken. The protocol involved in XBTX is geared towards efficiency as the board consumes around 5W and can be combined with other boards to achieve efficiency while reducing overall costs.
For those that know little about XBTX, it is a fork of raven when it was still running on the outdated X16r protocol. The switch to Veriums Scrypt^2 has enabled more potentials as the protocol is now ASIC resistant while still retaining the tokenization aspects from ravencoin.
Furthermore, XBTX can be sent to the PolisPay app and used to buy vouchers or fill an epay MasterCard on supported platforms. You can check more details on the price of XBTX and platforms currently listed on Coingecko.
Teloscoin is the native coin of the Transcendence blockchain and is one of the coins that can be mined using the Vim boards. Teloscoin uses proof-of-stake consensus and undergoes a yearly fork that reduces the number of mining rewards to curb inflation. Teloscoin can be exchanged on several platforms and is listed on Coinmarketcap and CoinGecko
More Developments On the Way
Transcendence Ecosystem is set for major developments in the coming weeks that will take it to the next stages of its roadmap. A new wallet is currently in the works and will include a marketplace, mining capabilities and the first proof-of-gain network.
Proof-of-gain is a state of the art decentralized autonomous trading network that rewards users that provide storage to AI. Transcendence is working on developing Alexandria a decentralized public storage network that will provide access to users to store knowledge on the blockchain.
Teloscoin community continues to grow and this is the right time to jump onboard the Transcendence blockchain train.
