The 101 on Our New Crypto App

Today, we’re announcing that BitMEX Lite, our new mobile app for crypto – is now available for download from the App Store and Google Play. 

It’s been created to make buying, converting, withdrawing, depositing, and earning interest on crypto a whole lot easier and more accessible.

With a new look, feel, and enhanced functionality, our new crypto app acts as a gateway to the BitMEX ecosystem. Shaped by the needs of traders and beta testers, we’ve built the app to offer an intuitive mobile experience – while providing users with the tools they need to manage their crypto.

Don’t Miss Out on Our BMEX Token Offers

To celebrate the arrival of BitMEX Lite, BMEX rewards await users. From 13 April 2022 at 04:00 UTC until 12 May 2022 at 03:59 UTC, the first 10,000 users who download BitMEX Lite and log in to their main account via the app will receive 10 BMEX.

Welcome Offer

Our welcome offer gives new users the chance to earn up to 45 BMEX. The specific offer details are as follows:

• Sign up and verify your identity to earn 5 BMEX

Crypto Converter Offer

From now until 30 April 2022 at 23:59 UTC, existing users can earn 2.5 BMEX for every 1,000 Tether – or Bitcoin/Ether equivalent – converted. 

This offer is capped at 250 BMEX per user, per month.

Referral Offer

Buy Crypto with up to 36 Fiat Currencies

Buying crypto on BitMEX has never been easier. With our new crypto app, you’ll be able to buy ApeCoin, Bitcoin, Ether, MATIC, and Tether (ERC-20) with just a few taps on your phone.

To buy crypto via BitMEX Lite, simply:

1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
2. Tap the ‘Buy’ icon on the navigation bar.
3. Select the crypto you want to buy.
4. Enter the amount you would like to pay in your selected fiat currency.
   • Your screen will then show a reference price and the estimated amount of crypto you’ll receive.
5. Tap ‘Continue’ and select your preferred fiat gateway provider.
   • Note: You will be directed to the provider’s fiat on-ramp platform, which belongs to a third party and is not owned by BitMEX.
6. Follow the instructions set by the selected fiat gateway provider. After you’ve completed the purchase, you’ll be redirected to the BitMEX app.
   • Once the transaction is complete, your purchased crypto will be directly credited to your BitMEX Wallet.

Convert Crypto When You’re on the Go

Our mobile interface for crypto conversions is sleek and intuitive, so no matter your experience level, you’ll find it easy to use. By downloading the app, you’ll be able to convert ApeCoin, Bitcoin, Ether, MATIC, Tether, and more cryptocurrencies in the future – with no hidden fees or the need to worry about slippage.

Here’s a quick walkthrough of how to convert crypto via BitMEX Lite:

1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
2. Click the ‘Convert’ icon on the navigation bar.
3. Enter the amount you want to convert from – or to – under ‘Pay’ and ‘Receive’, respectively.
   • Under ‘Pay’, you can review your available balance, and also tap ‘Max’ to autofill your input amount with all of your available balance.
4. Tap the ‘Request quote’ to generate a quote for your crypto conversion.
5. If you’re happy with the conversion rate quoted, tap ‘Confirm’.
   • Once the conversion has been successfully executed, your converted crypto will appear in your wallet and be available for use immediately.

Earn Interest on Crypto

Why leave your crypto idle, when you can be earning interest? By accessing the Earn section of BitMEX Lite, users can earn interest on Bitcoin and Tether (ERC-20) more easily than ever before.

Here’s how to subscribe to BitMEX EARN via our app:

1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
2. Tap ‘Earn’ on the navigation bar, and go to ‘Products’. 
3. Tap the BitMEX EARN product that you want to subscribe to, and review the product information. 
4. Tap the ‘Subscribe now’ button to subscribe. 
5. Enter the amount of crypto you want to deposit into the EARN product.
   • After completing step five, you’ll be able to review your estimated interest based on the amount you’ve entered, subscription duration, and EARN product chosen.
6. Tap the ‘Continue’ button to review your order.
7. Tap the ‘Confirm’ button to submit your EARN subscription order.

Deposit and Withdraw Crypto

By accessing the portfolio section of the app, you’ll easily be able to check your Earn subscription details and transaction history, as well as deposit and withdraw crypto.

To deposit crypto via BitMEX Lite, simply:

1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
2. Tap ‘Portfolio’ on the navigation bar.
3. Acknowledge the information regarding choosing the correct network, and then tap → to proceed.
4. Select the type of crypto you’d like to deposit.
   • Note: Please ensure the correct network is selected, as referenced in the Bitcoin deposit screenshot above.
5. Retrieve your BitMEX wallet address by copying the address, saving the QR code image, or scanning the QR code via another app (if applicable).
6. On the platform where you intend to withdraw crypto from, input your BitMEX Wallet address and follow the platform’s withdrawal instructions. 
7. After completing step six, you’ll receive an email notifying you that you’ve successfully deposited crypto into BitMEX.

To withdraw crypto via our crypto app, simply:

Note: You’ll need to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to withdraw crypto from BitMEX Lite. Please note that old users who enable 2FA will trigger a 24-hour ban on crypto withdrawals.

1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
2. Tap ‘Portfolio’ on the navigation bar, and then tap ‘Withdraw’. 
3. Enter or select a wallet address as the withdrawal destination.
4. Input the amount you wish to withdraw, and then tap ‘Continue’. 
5. Review your withdrawal details, and then tap ‘Confirm’. 
6. Enter your 2FA to confirm your withdrawal, and tap ‘Confirm’ again. Then, retrieve the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app. 
   • Note: Depending on the withdrawal address’s configuration, you may need to complete email verification as well.
