Andre, the creator, describes YFI as “0 financial value” token.
yearn.finance is a system that depends on other DeFi services such as Aavesome, BalancerLabs, Uniswap, and many more.
One of the central practices of Yearn is that you can stake your stablecoins such as DAI, USDC, TUSD, USDT, etc to earn passive income. This provides a way to partake in crypto without exposure to unstable assets! YFI is granted to specific liquidity providers in the yearn ecosystem.
YFI Technical Analysis
The coin came into circulation in July of 2020. Since then, beginning with a starting price of zero, YFI has moved rapidly to record a price of around $9,000. The rapid move up is one of the greatest ever seen in the history of cryptocurrencies.
The most significant move was recorded in the same month the coin was launched. This occurred as YFI moved up to around $5000 within a few days and promising further upside.
The next two weeks proved difficult as YFI ranged under the $5,000 level before eventually supporting a bullish move towards $7,000.
A sudden price surge saw prices entering into the $8,000 region as YFI approaches $10,000 in the short term.
In a week since launch, the YFI coin has grown from $34 to $4,500. On 10th August, the token rate increased to $6,500 due to the listing on Binance exchange. In a couple of days, the price of YFI doubled to $12,800 point.
At the end of August, YFI market cap reached $1 billion, and the price came close to $40,000. A correction followed this event. However, on 11th September, Coinbase Pro trading platform announced YFI token listing. It raised the price of an asset to $35,000.

With the pace and adoption occurring in Decentralized finance, we expect explosive growth in Defi tokens. This invariably, will affect Yearn.finance and skyrocket the price of the underlying cryptocurrency, YFI. We lean towards a multiplicity of market predictions to make a viable and sustainable pronouncement. By the end of 2020, we expect YFI to be trading around $30,000. In 2025, however, we predict YFI to be trading around $50,000.
